Tires arrived today. These things look serious...not MT serious, but much beefier than the stock GYs.

I just ordered a 2" HBS level and have come to realize that I will definitely need 1/4" spacers as well. I have about a finger width of space between the inside of the tire and the control arm. When I add another 1.5" of tire width its going to push the insides in another 3/4". Remember I'm running stock Laramie chrome clad 20s. I'm not thrilled about the spacers, but only need them in the front.

QUESTION: Are there any 1/4 " spacer horror stories out there? Can I just order a $20 set off ebay?

Note: I don't want to go with the 1.5 hubcentrics because I don't want to push the tires out that far.

I know rough country makes them, and I haven't heard anything bad about those

Here you have it guys. The final product. My free tires and level installed! Truck looks totally different IMHO. No wheel spacers needed using the stock rims surprisingly enough. I fit 35 12.50 20 General Grabber AT 2.

Here is the truck stock and after level. Anyone on the fence about doing this, get off it. Its fairly inexpensive and really improves the look of the truck while staying mostly stock.

Looks good man THanks for the info! this helped a lot because I was gonna go with the 33's with just a level until I can do the 3" lift but now I know i can manage on 35's

THANKS

Thanks! Ill try to get you a better pic from the side. Its getting the alignment as we speak. The width is the only issue. If they made a 36 11.50 it would fit IMO. The tire just barely clears the control arm on the inside and has a slight rub at full lock. We will see if that's still the case after the alignment and subsequent camber adjustments.

I've had the AT2s on since about march and I love them. A good compromise between off road and daily use. If I were to go back and do it again though I'd probably have bought the grabber...but I really love the ride and feel of the AT2. Congrats!

Thanks soundwave. I love the look of your truck. I pulled up next to a jeep today that had the grabber and gotta say I wasn't all that impressed. Perhaps his were worn down, but they didn't look all that more aggressive than the AT2. So far the ride is smooth, but we had issues balancing the left rear tire. Needed 14oz of weight to balance and that wheel is giving me a shake at 65. Other than that tires are very quiet and smooth.

So did the alignment take care of your rub problem at lock? getting ready to install 2" hbs n havent decided on tire size yet, really want to go as big as possible. 35-1250 would be perfect for what im looking for. Thanks truck looks good with your setup

truck looks great with the level and new tires, im in the process of buying a 2014 and will need to level it this summer, and put some better tires on it, possibly wheels also. Im not big on the chrome 20" wheels it comes with, but maybe they will grow on me. Also, like you, want a more aggressive tire. How hard is it to do the level? I put a lift and a bunch of other stuff on my 2010 Rubicon so is it something easy?

Thanks guys. The level isn't too hard, as long as you have the tools. I think I made it harder than it had to be as I fought with some parts on reassembly. The alignment made it track better and protect the tires, not sure it impacted the rub. However, the rub is only at full lock and only in one direction. Its not noticeable.
