I don't know what radio it is as far as code numbers, but its in the Express so its the cheapest one!

anyway, yesterday it started messing up. i would change the station while listening to Sirius and the display would stay on the previous channel but the music changed to the station i switched to, if that makes sense? its like the display froze but the channel did change. on the regular FM radio I had no issues.

this morning, I tried to switch over to Sirius and it wouldn't even go to Sirius. its like the truck isn't even equipped with Sirius. The FM radio still works perfectly.

What the crap?! Any ideas on what went wrong and how do I fix it? when i get home i think i'll try unhooking the battery for a bit and see if it resets but i have a feeling that won't do a thing. I'm betting it needs the computer flashed or some BS.....HELP!!!

Mine does that sometimes to. It usually fixes itself after you shut the truck off for awhile. Also, my volume turns down randomly, when it wants to. And, yes, the auto volume control is turned off.

Don't worry it's totally normal. Every satellite system I've had did it. Your are relying on a radio signal coming from outer space and depending on the weather it will do it, but I found that if I switched to CD or AM/FM then went back all would be good. I also talked to Sirius and they told that a refresh signal would fix it too. The refresh signal worked for me and I didn't have problems after that.

its not like a lost signal, its like its not even equipped with Sirius. When I've lost signal in the past it will still switch to Sirius but just say acquiring signal or whatever and eventually it will pick it up. There have been times in the past where the display on Sirius froze on one channel but i was still able to hear music. this time, it won't even switch to Sirius.

does that sound like what you've dealt with?

Hmmm... can't say that I've ever had a freezing problem where it doesn't switch. That sounds like a faulty radio to me, I have 2013 Ford Escape with Sync system and that radio religiously doesn't work properly when switching about the interface. I would get Sirius to shoot you a refresh signal and see if that helps and if it continues then you would be looking at a warranty item.
