So recently, about 3-4 months now, my remote- start doesn't work. When if first started going out I could spam the button on my jey fob and it would eventually work but now it doesn't at all. In addition to this, sometimes, and this is on and off now, I cannot unlock or lock the truck. It takes several tries, however sometimes it works right away. About half the time my keyless entry doesn't work and about half the time my button on the outside handle doesn't lock the vehicle. There have been a few instances where my push to start won't detect the key fob so I have to figget with pressing the unlock button then pressing the push to start directly afterwards. And on a very rare instance my car alarm has gone off when opening my door after the keyless entry has unlocked it and the panic button doesn't respond, I had to spam my panic button to try and get it to work. The problems are really bad after my truck has sat for a bit, especially over night. Normally if I'm running errands tho, my keyless entry works first try in between stops. My auto-start has not worked for about 2-3 months during all of this though. I would like to know if anybody has some suggestions before I finally bite the bullet and take it somewhere to figure it out. When I got the truck, the window pad on the driver's door, lock button didn't work. Other than that I've had no problems up until now with all of this. I have a lifted 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie with the 8-speed transmission and the 5.7 Hemi. I got it with all of this already setup with it so I don't know how well everything was done. The lot I bought it from assured me it was all done correctly. I also have aftermarket fog lights on it, don't know the brand but they are the strength of a light bar essentially. Any help would be appreciated as I normally work on all of my own fixes. This one is just so wild. I've already changed out the key fob battery so I know it's not a dead battery on the key fob point. Maybe a bad key fob? But I doubt it, I still haven't gotten a second one to test that theory tho. There has been a few rare instances when I shift my truck into reverse, it doesn't work and it flashes the R, forcing me to go into park then back into reverse. I don't know if that's related or not.
