Yeah, Hemi heads are deff more then GM stuff but oh well, gotta pay to play. Once you pull the front supports and rad its not that bad to stand in there. The cars and Jeeps are worse to shoe horn things into.

To put it in perspective, the DSP (Diablo Sport) 91 tune (no custom tune) gave me a solid 2mpg gain over the superchips 91 tune and shaved more time off my 0-60.... So its not just for the BIG mods, they do have canned tunes just like the superchips but offer a lot more for those "why not" days.

Get out of town, the DSP gave you more than superchip?

Sacrifice trans tuning? In an 05 to I believe 10' you can adjust the 1-3 shift schedules OR get a custom tune for the tcm, and that will adjust all gears, raise line pressure, reduce TM, adjust TC lockup, and turn it from a quick ride to a bat out of hell ride. I love having one for my truck. My god it made a night and day difference in how.quick she zips around town now.

So you have had the SC and diablo? I'm considering making the switch if it's worth it.

I had a SC 3865 but it did almost nothing to help my 2005 hemi run better........ I do have long tube headers so i think that might have been the cause for running to lean. Im gonna try the diablosport intune next to see if the custom tuning helps. If you have more questions about either MOE's helped me out big time with trouble shooting my issues with SC. Next mods for me will be ported TB and E-fan

I think once anyone gets long tubes they need custom tunes because on my 08 hemi the 3865 made over a half a second difference at the track

If you run lt's you need a 180* tstat. That will richen it up a bit.

Is putting in a 180 T stat difficult? whats involved with doing that?

Just draining all your radiator fluid, unscrewing the bolts from the thermostat housing at the end of the radiator hose, pulling the old thermostat out and putting the new one in. Make sure you use RTV gasket sealant on the lip of the housing!

^ all ya need to do is take the top line off and remove the 2 10mm bolts for the housing and have a drain pan under it. If its due for a swap on fluids then yes drain the whole system. Also the RTV is going to be only used if there is an issue with the housing or gasket is damaged. The jets are sopp to fit fine, I know my Stants get trimmed down to clear the gasket and housing. Only spots on the Hemi that require RTV is the front timing cover at the corner bases where it meets the oil pan for a front cover pull for cam/ motor work, other then that its all rubber gaskets then the metal gaskets for the heads and exhaust manifolds.

The Jet 180* T-stat fits with no issues. Takes all of 15min to do. And I agree, no reason to do a full flush, just pull the top hose from the t-stat housing, it will spill a bit out so have something ready to catch it. And NO RTV sealent needed, just reuse the stock gasket or replace it with the one that comes with the T-stat

And cause I'm half an idiot with some of this stuff, how will that help my truck run more rich?
