This past weekend I finally pulled the trigger on upgrading the 8.4 UAM (Carplay/Android Auto no nav) on my 2019 Laramie QUAD CAB to the 12" 4C model. Overall it was pretty easy once I found a video on how to remove the 12 volt plug from the old unit. I really like Sirrus Travel Link which the 5C units (22 and later) don't support. It took a couple sleep cycles for everything to come back and I had to enable the projection manger for carplay to activate. It's not cheap of course but it a nice upgrade for sure. I now have the 8.4 to sell if anyone is interested PM me before I post it on the classifieds.
