Purge Valve

Okay guys and gals,
I’m checking to get some advice on changing the purge valve on my 2011 Ram 1500 5.7. I know it’s under the battery and wanted to see how this is changed before my new part arrives here in The middle of no where!
Is there any special tool required or is it pretty much straight forward? Also, are the hoses connected a certain way or do they slide right off?
Thanks in advance. (I got about a week or so before the parts arrive, take your time lol).

How did you make out with this? I have a 2011 Ram and couldn’t find the purge valve location. Can you confirm it is under the battery on the 2011? I figured all 4th gens would have the same location but some say left of the intake(mine isn’t) some say top of the fuel tank. I have a ton of wire slack from accessory lights and plow near the battery and don’t what to disturb that nest unless I have to lol. If you can confirm that location would be a big help thanks!

Yeah, under the battery and really easy to swap out. Took no more then 10 mins. My truck has 3” body lift and 6” suspension lift though so it may be a little bit tougher to get at if your not lifted.

The newer years, 13 up, Not sure, have it by the passenger side intake manifold. Much easier to get at.
