So my boss has '14 2500 laramie longhorn with projectors. I have a 2012 1500 laramie limited with quads. He got 2 new headlight assemblies for his so i was thinking i might try to make his old ones work on mine but one of his has a bad water/moisture issue. I want to pull his and min apart and use the projector guts and put my lenses on the projector assembly. Just curious if anybody has played with this and made the 2 work or if they are different. I know i will need a wiring harness but ive got that figured out. I may be able to tear his apart and clean them up but the lenses are pretty discolored.

Adapting the wiring from a truck with Quads to the factory projectors is the easy part, you just need these adapters: https://shop.retroshop.us/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=13.Adapt

Opening the headlights up and reworking them might be an uphill battle, maybe @1500ram12 might chime in as he has opened a few pairs of headlights.

You might be farther ahead to just buying a set of aftermarket projector headlights, there are lots guy that have bought ones from Alapharex(Modifystreet): https://alpharexusa.com/product-category/performance-headlights/ram-truck-performance-headlights-09/

Opening up factory lights isn't hard but not all that easy. Plenty of threads on here and vids on YouTube on the process. I don't know if anyone has only opened lights up just to switch lenses but shouldn't be a issue.

Right. I was mostly curious about the quad lens fitting the projector assembly. I would think they are all the same. But i may just try to pull the projectors apart and clean the lens and put back together.

Yep lenses are the same you could throw them on projector style lenses

Let me save you some trouble. I just buy new lenses and swap them that’s what I do when I retrofit these headlights plus you don’t wanna clean the inside of headlight lenses they’ll extremely sensitive on the inside and will scratch easily.

It would help to figure out where his old set is allowing moisture in as well so you can seal it up. I don’t have any advice to offer for places to look unfortunately.
