The clear coat is gone on the hood, roof, and top of fenders. Thinking about using spray cans for a temporary paint job. I don't think much is left of the black paint on the hood, kind of gray color and wipes off with a rag. Any recommendations for what type of paint to use and a good brand?

Let us know if you do it and what you used and how it turned out for you if you don't mind. I've gotten away with polish and wax which only diminishes it for a while,b ut paint is down the road and possibly a driveway job. thanks

I have seen people use a kind of rustproofing-type of paint, is very forgiving for paint can use (even seen rolled on) and it looks very rugged. Just be sure you prep base no matter what you do.

Good luck, look forward to seeing what you do.
