Got tired of Triton maintenance. Found a guy wanting to trade an 87 d150, and the rest is history. It's got a straight, rust free body, good interior, rebuilt transmission and 360 swap, and flat black paint. Had a holley demon carburetor on it, way too big for a 360, so I went to an Eddy 500 cfm, ran like new, really fun and light feeling rig, stupid power compared to my w250 318, until fuel lines clogged... Looks like I gotta drain the tank, and the PO filled the tank with ethanol free before we traded... Oh well.
Anyway, plan is to get it running well, patch the holes cut in the bed to access the fuel sender, spray it with bedliner, and repaint it gloss black. I'll also probably paint the engine compartment red instead of the navy blue, and clean up the interior, give it a headliner, and make the AC work.
It's going to be my next daily driver, gonna be a fun project. I'll update as I work on it.
