How can I find out what gears I have? I didn’t realize I would need a new front diff. Put 37” on and I’m not going in 8th anymore and lost a lot of fuel mileage

Go to the Ram website and plug in your VIN to get your buildsheet ... Maybe someone will post a link ... I know it’s been posted before

I sure hope you’re not suprised about the fuel mileage loss after puttin 37’s on there ... Lol

Front & rear diff's from a wrecker would be easiest.. 2-3k cdn for those.. few hrs in a shop.. out the door for like.. 4-4.5k

I have 35's and 3.55's with the 6 speed tranny ... Every day I wish I had paid the $75 and got the 3:92's when I ordered my truck

when your on the highway, does your truck shift down and cruise at about 1100rpm? if it does that does it cause your truck to kinda shake almost like its going to lug out?

Nope, never had that ... I’ll have to check and see what my 70mph rpm’s are ... It just shifts to much from 6th to 5th on the highway ... Biggest reasons I shoulda got the 3.92’s is a better jump from a stop ... Just kinda doggy

yeah mine is pretty rough on the highway with 3.55's and 35's
I just got my 35s put on and I get a shake on the highway at like 60-65 mph. was curious if it was a gearing issue

Drop in down in 4th gear at 60-65.....if it still shakes & was not like this before it will either be wheels not balanced correctly or bad tires

funny that you mentioned bad tires lol. I had a set of Ko2's and they were bad and had shake to them or something when they did a road force test so I just got a set of Nitto ridge grapplers and it doesn't do the shake as bad but there is shake at 60-65 on the highway and comes and goes. so im guessing its a drive line vibration or what. but it can't be the tires considering I just got a different set and it still does some shaking on the highway

Try 4th gear to rule out shake from engine lug with the taller tires....5th might do it since it comes & goes if engine lug.
If no shakes in a lower gear set to 6th gear manually to turn of MDS & test.
No issues here with the 35 Ko2's.
You got those 35's on a factory 9 inch wide rim?

It’s a Nitto ridge grappler on an ion alloy 9 inch wheel that is 18inches. And what exactly are you talking about with the 4th gear thing?

I have a set of 275/70/18 BFG T/A KOs on my truck. To be totally honest, that probably way more tire than I need, or will ever use. They're pretty heavy duty.

Even the modest size that's on my truck, are evidently difficult to get balanced perfectly.

The cure for me was, get them rebalanced, and then I put Balance Beads in them. You can order them from Amazon. The Balance beads, Plus traditional lead tire weights, were the cure for my BFG TA KOs. Now the truck I'd smooth as silk at any speed. (Which tended to get me into trouble)
