Was your truck under warranty at the time?

Did you replace the whole catback or muffler only?

Was the replacement aftermarket (Non Mopar)?

Did you ask the dealer if your truck remains under warranty excluding the the aftermarket parts?

Are you confident you still are under warranty post replacement.

I ask all this because I contacted FCA about replacing my muffler under warranty. I was specific I was talking about muffler only or possibly, catback eventually. I feft the response was cut and paste from an FCA manual. I have not discussed with my dealer or any other dealer at this point.

I put a Magnaflow catback on when the truck had 320km on it, pretty close to off the assembly line, lol. Truck retained full warranty. Also threw on an S&B intake and catch can, have never had an issue when warranty work was done. Mind you it was mostly recalls.. some sensors. But all was/is good warranty wise.

thx for the response. Now, how do you know it's retained full warranty? because the dealer hasn't commented on your add ons..or it didn't come into conflict on any warranty work you've had done?

Who's your local dealer? Small town dealers seem to be more inclined to overlook things compared to either Edmontons or Calgary's dealers. My local dealer replaced my limited slip twice and my transfer case once under warrenty, and they know my truck lives on the dragstrip and swallows nitrous, lol

I have never heard of a warranty claim being denied due to a catback or muffler kit. Just go with a quality bolt in kit and not some cheaply fabbed up welded in part and you will be fine. If it looks professional and proper it wont be a problem. The only time it raises a red flag is when its all hacked in and even then they dont deny it. The only warrantied part you will loose the FCA warranty on is the portion of the exhaust you replace. I have replaced the exhaust on everything I own that my wife doesnt daily and had warranty work and never had a problem

I told my dealer what I was putting on before I had the truck, asked if warranty would be an issue with them, they said no.
