Hi All
I was looking at potential upgrades for my 2006 Ram 1500 Mega Cab with dual solid axles and 4wd and The first thing was looking at Locking Slip Difs. I was wondering if anybody had recommendations for LSDs that would be a cheaper option that the $650 one I found online and what fit's in my diff. Also are the front and rear diffs on my truck the same? And If so would I be able to install the same LSDs on the front and rear axles.
Thanks
Toydle

These are the diffs I was looking at online

Don’t look for cheap. The labor is too high to bother with installing inexpensive lockers.

I don’t care for anything except the helical (TrueTrac) in LSD or a selectable locker myself.

Clutch type LSDs don’t last, and the auto lock types like the lunchbox lockers drive like crap on the street.

There are a couple of threads recently about the TrueTrac if you search you’ll get some good information.
