2014 2500 CC, 4WD, 6.4L. what does the neutral button under the 4wd knob do?

I believe ( and may be wrong ) that allows it to be towed. like behind a motor home.

I read that the 2014's had a neutral disconnect for the front axle. Supposedly allowing for 1mpg increase. Not much info on it, and not sure if that's the button or not.

It isnt a neutral disconnect in the front axle it is just a front axle disconnect. It works whenever you are not in 4 wheel drive. The button you are referring to puts the transfer case in neutral so it can be flat towed.
