I got my plug n play led set today. I plan on installing them for my low beam. It is the cougar motors LED h11... Is the canbus adapter absolutely required?? Please advise so I don't waste my time tonight...

Okay.. ugh I just see so many different answers.. not sure if people are trolling or if it's luck... Should I try it? I'm gonna order the adapters tomorrow regardless.. but I see others saying they didn't need them.

You'll need them if you have a 15 for sure.

If it's a '15, most likely they work without the CANbus adapters...
....till you start the truck...lol
(yes, been there, happened to me)

I had a set of Opt7 in my fogs and used the CANbus adapters they supplied. One started to act up and bought a set of Diode Dynamics Anti-Flicker modules. I still use them on my Morimotto XB vertical fogs.

Well I got them both in... But like y'all said they turn off once it's turned over... I'll be ordering the canbus module first thing in the morning for same day delivery.af56f2a3b03f6dac0a8b134a493d1172.jpg7de5a4fbd7f1911eae65cf45f9567688.jpg

Not entirely dark out so it's a bit underwhelming in the photo.

I'll report back as soon as Amazon delivers the package and I install. I'll probably prep the truck that way I can plug it in and go..

No issues. Really bright. Got flashed by what I suspect was an old guy last night due to the neighborhood I was in. And then a little audi turned on their flashers cause I was lighting em up like the police... Lulz

Getting flashed that much already is probably not good. Maybe adjusting the lights downward will help. Gonna lose distance and some sharpness in the cutoff with those leds in that setup anyway. I have a 6 inch lift and put leds in the same housing, have the lights adjusted downward, probably more than they need to be, but I don't get flashed.
