Hey guys - working on something pretty cool...BUT..

I know there is a harness down the driver's side that has the cargo light hot wire in it, correct?

Is that wire tan/white? I want to tap into it as a trigger wire for a relay for something.

While I have no idea, I could probably figure it out in 30 seconds with a multi-meter.....

It's behind the panel that the rear driverside seat belt bolts into.

be AWARE where you tap into in these truck. due to everything on computers now days the circuits are very sensitive. the slightest current draw can trip a computer or sensor to go bad.

it is best to relay isolate added on accessories.

I am only tapping into it as a trigger wire. I am using relays for everything I do.

Doing LED lights under the truck, and LED lights in the bed. But I'm tapping into the hot wire for the cargo light so it will trigger the LED lights I'm adding. So when I walk up to the truck and unlock it, the bed will light up, and lights will be lit under the truck as well.

Can you tell I'm bored?
