doing my coolant this weekend, its a 2004 hemi ram, what is the capacity?

and theres nothing to bleed rite, just drain fill and burp with the cap. and does the mopar coolant come premixed 50/50?

I usually point my truck up hill (in the driveway) and let it run with the cap off for 15-20 minutes to let the air out. I don't know the capacity off hand. Zerex makes a HOAT that is the same as the oem stuff for half the price.

Also there are 2 different coolants available. yours takes the extended life 100,000 mile coolant. you could also look at a parts store. the bottle must say chrysler approved and it must say it uses HOAT technology. using green coolant, dexcool, or the universal clear coolant will cause corrosion, sludge, and water pump failure.

Just an FYI...Prestone extended life DOES NOT meet Chryslers MS9179 spec...it only meets GM and Ford spec...The ZEREX G-05 does meet Chrysler spec MS9179 for a 5/100 coolant...

I used the mopar stuff both times and it was not pre mixed.

thanks guys, preciate it, ^ i diddnt think it would be pre mixed, thad be way to easy, ill most likely just buy the mopar stuff frok the dealer for piece of mind.

Tony needs a a back up truck, thats a 3rd or 2nd gen. That 98 is starting to get me envious!! There's some good info here. I hope the fool that owned my rig before me didn't screw with it........Whats the oem color of the coolant?? anybody know, Mine was tested before the winter , it was good for 30-. Any colder than that and I'm sleeping in. lol.
