Rack and Pinion

I have an 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 4x4 with a leveling kit my tires are 315/70/17.
I was hit by a small car the impact was on the left front tire. Since the accident I have replaced the rack and pinion 4 times, the power steering unit and lower ball joints and a arm once. It will not stay aligned. There is difinent play somewhere. I've taken it to 3 places and no one seem to have an answer for my problem. Does anyone have any ideas or maybe some one I can trust to get it fix. Thetime frame for the rack replacements is about 20 months. Super frustrated at this point!

I would find a shop that specialized in crash damage and tell them what has happened to your truck. Most alignment shops can only align to the specifications that is printed out for them and are clueless in actual trouble shooting problems. I also make this recommendation to jacked up and lowered trucks.

It sounds like that crash caused more damage than meets the eye. I would suggest taking it to a high end body shop and have them put it on a frame machine. Most body shops are equipped with them, but I would definitely ask around and see who is the best in your area.

Had the frame checked today. Its ok. I'm headed to "Desert Rat" 4wheel shop tomorrow. Fingers crossed.
