2020 5th Gen 5.7 Ram 1500. Radiator fan not coming on at all. Replaced the fan and still not working. No fuse can be seen, no relay can be found... I'm at a lose. Snap on scan tool says there are no faults all. My little cheap scanner found a P0480 code... Anyone found an answer?

I got the High temp alart the other day in a drive through.

How do you know your fan is not running when you think it should be? I have no idea that my fan is running or has ever run.
Engine over heated.

My display shows the engine temps. What was your temps?

I have a CanAm ATV and the fan comes on all the time, even in sub zero temps with me keeping up a good pace. Not sure if that indicates an overheating machine. I've been on other ATVs where you could feel the temps in the thighs.

Lastly this maybe another reason why Start/Stop tech is put into these Ram Trucks. They keep the engines at optimum temps to maximize operation, and keep the fans quiet until really needed. Did you disable the Start/Stop when all this happened?
No start/stop feature

The PWM controlled fans used in the Gen5 truck don't have relays, there is a control wire that sends a signal that controls the fan from off to full speed. You need a meter that's capable of reading duty cycle to check the speed signal.
The fuse size for these fans are sizes le considering the motors are upwards of 850 watts.

Yesterday I had to go over the pass to pick up some groceries. I watched closely the coolant temps. I was surprised how much it changes and how quickly. Saw as high as 235 before the fan and system sought to keep the engine from overheating. I did find that on steep grades it is best to take over control of the transmission and down shift to 5th or even 4th at 65mph as the engine temps go lower and stay lower.
