Radio dying

15 ram 1500 express radio has been cutting off randomly & losing details- the arrows in the squares & the x’s. Only happened a couple times until yesterday cut off 4-5 times on my 20 min. ride home the volume bars wouldn’t show & no reverse camera when I parked. The vol. bar & camera worked this morning not sure what’s going on, most of the cut-offs happened on bumps but one while sitting at a light. I was thinking bad ground but know very little about electronics. Any suggestions? Thank you

Been having a similar problem with my 2011 where sometimes when I turn it over the speakers make a small static pop and then my radio doesn't work. No aux, am, fm, or satellite radio and when I turn the volume knob it doesn't register im doing it or display the volune on the screen. I sometimes turn it off and let the computer reset and it works but I usually have to disconnect and reconnect the battery and then it works.

I had this recently happen. Turns out my alternator was running too high. I replaced it and everything worked fine.

Did you see it too high on dash or test alt. Separately? Mine is reading 14 volts not sure how accurate dash is. Thank you

My dash was very misleading. I got it tested at orielly and bought an alternator on scene.
