Radio replacement question

Hey everyone,

I recently acquired a 2014 tradesman. I have a double din received from my previous vehicle that I would like to install in my Ram. i have been looking around the internet to see what I need to do to install the radio and I have found many different answers which has me confused.

I have the basic factory no Bluetooth, no amp, RA1 (I believe?) radio. The rear view camera is displayed in the rear view mirror.

What components I need to replace the factory radio? As in which harness?

I don't need extra functions like steering wheel controls or anything like that, since my radio already has a microphone that plugs in to be able to receive phone calls through the system.

I would like however to retain the factory USB and auxiliary inputs in the center console.

Ok, I just did this so I hope I can give you some answers... 1st I talked to the product advisors at crutchfield and they told me exactly what I needed... youre gonna need a double din dash kit, antenna adapter, Idatalink maestro URAM in order to retain the factory USB and AUX port, and lastly the Idatalink CH3 main harness. I don't think you need the Idatalink RR module since you stated that you don't need steering wheel controls and that's good cause its the most expensive piece out of the whole bundle of millions of wires, lol. I'd definitely contact crutchfield for exact models of each item. if you do it through their chat function, the service advisors will even put everything you need in your "cart" so there is no confusion.

BTW, youre gonna have to cut a metal bracket behind the dash... this is the easiest part, lol

No problem, I literally just did it so it is fresh in my mind and I can help you out once you get everything. I had a really hard time figuring out which wires/connections went where but now I'm confident that I could have everything installed in less than 2-3 hours including the cutting of the bracket and the splicing of all the wires.
