Whats shaken guys, ive been reading and searching the forums/threads here but haven't posted yet. Looks like a bunch of cool guys with similar interests as my own.
First off I love my Ram, been wanting one since my buddys 2011 he had. Always loved the lowered look especially on the newest gen 4's.
Needless to say I started with the cutting the rear coils to level her and that's all it took for me to be hooked. I ordered the 44052 kit (which i hope is correct) and started mid day today and recently finished after my wife watched the kids.
Just some notes on the parts, parts are nice quality nothing was missing. Install would have been a walk in the park except for the rear bump stop removal. That part really sucked and i've read other posters mentioning the same,,, they are right. Its not easy to get to the welds with a 4 1/4 grinder but its past me now
Think i was so pissed i didn't even install the aftermarket bump stops.
The pan hard bar bracket was a piece of cake only had to drill one hole in the stock bracket and bolt it all down. The front coils were a little tricky since you have to push down on the lower control arm pretty hard to get the new spring in there.
Finished just when the sun went down, double checked all the bolts and dropper her down for the first ride. Ride is very similar and you can now feel you are lower to the ground. Shocks seem ok too which is a plus.
So there is issues and or questions. After test driving her for a hour or so I remeasured the front and rear fender hieghts. I do not understand why but the front is 1/2 higher then the rear. Front measures 35 1/2 and the rear measures 35. Is this normal or did i do something incorrect or did i use the wrong kit?
Other issue or question is the front bump stop, wow is it close to the a arm, i so want to cut it off but not sure if these is a good idea or not.
Sorry for the crappy pic's, will get some better angles with the new 22" rims as soon as she's aligned and I make sure i figure out the height difference.
