If it's only when turning it sounds like an axle u-joint binding. Does it feel like it's in the front end? The only other thing might be the transmission but that would do it whether you are turning or not.

I notice a bit of front end binding when I make turns. It's not very noticable. Been doing it for awhile now.

Not enough of an issue to me to take it in, but that may change as I near the end of my 5yr powertrain warranty

That same issue showed up on my 3500 at around 15k miles. I changed the rear end fluid and the issue all but gone now.

If you have the factory limited slip rear axle it can do that. Every once in awhile I notice a small bit when empty, but more pronounced the more weight I am towing.

I have 15,400 miles on mine and it's a recent issue. What gear oil did you use? I have the anti spin rear diff. I was planning on serving both diffs, transmission and transfer case (and drain and flush the radiator and overflow tank) at the 5yr mark so this is good timing. Thanks

Mines an old girl with the 10.5 aam, but, had the same shutter when turning and towing heavy loads, switched to Redline 75w90 gl5 and it went away, had 30k on old fluid and it was still mostly clear with very little on magnets.

I used the OEM called for type fluid, and yes mine diff was also the anti-spin version too. I used the supertech synthetic version of fluids from walmart.
