Sometime in the near future, I would like to do a 3 inch lift on my truck to get the better ground clearance for off-roading. However my bros advice against it as I do park in underground parking lots quite often and the height is about 2.2m here. Any ideas if the lift will be factor?

If only there was a way to increase and decrease the ride height like the Range Rovers do without sacrificing strength for off-roading.

i believe the Dodge Ram comes with that as an option; although they never offered it nor mentioned it to me at the dealership.

You can get the factory air suspension that will do just this. Keep in mind though your lowest point is your rear axle, which will not go up and down with your air suspension. The only way to raise that is bigger tires.

Is your truck a 4wd, and is it a 1500 or 2500? I did some calculating and I should be able to fit 2in lift and 34s and still fit it in my 7ft garage with my 1500 4wd 2.2 meters would be 7 ft 2 so you have a tad more room. If you have a 2500 ypur pretty much there nothing you can do. It sounds like it's time to get out the trusty tape measure and see how much room you do have. And as stated before you won't gain any clearance for the axles unless you do tires.

Mine is a 4x4 1500. Our off-roading here is pure sand dunes mostly. There is some rocky terrain, but nothing even a stock Land Cruiser can't handle.

i know RAM has air suspension, but like it was already stated the lowest point is the rear axle and the only way to raise that is to get bigger tires which will raise the height of the truck, then you will need to do a air suspension to lower the BODY of the truck to get it to clear the height limit of the parking garage.

what your asking is a 2 fold problem with a 2 step solution.
Step 1 get bigger tires to raise the height of the rear axle
Step 2 get air suspension to raise/LOWER body height from wheels to get into garages, and back up to clear tires for daily driving

Just an FYI . . . You can look at my sig for my lift and tire specs, and I fit in an 83" garage door opening with 3" of clearance.

I wonder if it is possible to put in the Rebel's air suspension onto my truck. I imagine that would come to sizable cost I suppose.

I have a 6" lift and 35" tires and it's about 6'10" with a roof mounted light bar.
