i have a battery blanket, oil pan heater, tranny heater and a custom cold weather front to help keep as much heat in the engine bay as possible. try to keep her in the garage as much as possible when we in -20 to -60 but its a different story at work, gotta keep her out side plugged in.

I knew It, man thats Cold. You need a Dodge Ram Trappers Hat for Sure. All our parking spots at work come with a cord and a post with plug in but never -60. Depending on how long the Cold Snaps are you must have to change the Oil after a few weeks of that or you'd be swamped with fuel in the Oil and the Oil Pressure Guage would look like a tach when you revved it. The Diesel Guys must have to Run 24hr 7 days a week. Around here before you buy a house you go and check in the alleys to see how many Diesel trucks are parked back there cause you wouldn't be able to get a wink but Living in the Boonies thats not a problem for me anyways. Once again welcome to RF.

Never had a problem with the oil like that but that might be due to the oil pan heater not letting it gel up. Just because of the temps i why i went the the hemi, less maintenance i think for up here and less running like you said compared to the diesels.
