Rambox plastic end caps

Does anyone know what’s under the front and rear plastic end caps on the rambox?

Just wondering if it had steak holes under them.

I don’t think there’s anything useful under them. If I remember right if you look under the box up at where the caps are, you can see the bottom side

Since there are drain plugs under both endcaps, while I haven’t looked myself, I’d surmise nothing of note.

A Quadcab dakota lumber rack's four legs will fall dead center on the plastic pads. I could cut off the rails and weld flat-stock feet to the legs and match the plastic pads perfectly, centered and all. But is there enough supporting metal to carry a Drake 10' rack? I want to dump my dakota for a rambox. In the SF/bay area the rambox has a lower resale than standard bed. I think because the rambox is attractive to thieves.
