Just wanted to let anyone know that RamCares (Kaitlin) helped me obtain the replacement drag link for my 2018 Ram 2500 Limited. I originally sent a pm to her and she asked for all the necessary info. She then informed me that the request was forwarded to case manager. About a month after that, I had a voice mail message on my phone.
The person stated that I was approved for the replacement drag link. FCA would contact and forward the part to the dealer I wanted to use. Got the call from my dealer, and had the appointment yesterday. New link was installed.
Interesting though, the replacement is the same part number from the VO-6 recall.
So for all you doubters, ( I was one ) that RamCares wouldn’t ever be able to help, I’m here to say, they can be a good way to get satisfaction.
Kudos to her for the help.

Yep, just had mine replaced a few days ago thanks to @RamCares help. Mine took a few months but Kaitlyn was the one that helped me too. I had a little snafu after the dealer refused to replace it but then they apparently must have received a nasty-gram from FCA cause they called the next day and told me to being it back in.

I didn't look at my part number but mine has the clamp with the pinch bolt to hold it. The stickers are still on it so I will try to get a pic tomorrow

Please do, as we all wait on pins and needles for a fix to our weakest link. Thank you and hopefully we have some good news soon.

You may access the voucher for 15% All Available Accessories and Performance Parts on our national Mopar website: https://www.mopar.com/en-us/service-coupons-and-offers.html

The coupon is displayed below, and can be accessed once your dealer details are entered to the site.

I was told that since we paid for the bed group pkg during build and it didn't come with because of the recall at the time, that I would recieve a voucher for a free retractable bed step. Without going into to much detail, I have limited use of my back, thats why I ordered the bed pkg that included the step, its a must have for me. 15% seems like a generic coupon, I think there is some confusion somewhere, can you please dig into this further and pm me if necessary for personal information, as this is something I have to have for my limitations. Thank you and I await your response

Hi @Billet Bee, I understand the confusion this may have caused! Please know that with delivery of your vehicle you were not charged for the missing retractable bed step. The voucher you are referring to was indeed for 15% off of your future bed step order, and was delivered to all affected vehicle owners via direct email. We suggest combing through your spam folders if you did not receive this in your inbox.
Due to high volume of request, this voucher has been made available at the website provided above to make ordering your bed step with the discount an easier process for you and your dealer. Please send us a private message if you have any further questions!
