Makes sense. I suspect that Rancho's (and probably Bilsteins) are made by someone else. The Bilstein 5100 and Rancho 7000 sure do look A LOT alike and are priced similar. Your link goes to what I call a strut (coil over), not really a traditional shock. Not sure how you can compare a coil-over with a Bilstein 5100 shock. And I agree, the Bilstein 4600 is just a stock FCA shock with a yellow paint job...or so it seems.

It's because 1500's run struts in the front as opposed to the conventional shocks in the 2500's and above
in your case, a Rancho 9000 front

I don't see a front 7000 available for the 18 2500's

I just installed the Rancho quicklift and went from 36.5" to 38.5" on the front fenders. After 3 days I've already lost height, both fenders are now at 38". I'm worried how much more they may settle.

This are Rancho QL in the front with Icon 1.5 springs in the back and i do offroad the truck. don't know what you have but let me put this way, whatever you think Bistein 2.1 will lift a 1500 is the same thing Ranchos will lift. the caveat is 5100's have 1 more setting to go up while Rancho's are fixed a 2". The pros on the Ranchos you get 3.75 of down travel at 2" of lift vs 2" of downtravel with the 5100's at 2.8" of lift, i could guess 2.5" at 2.1" of lift for the 5100's but perhaps somebody can meaure that so we'll know better. Ranchos can be adjusted for stockish like ride, or firmer like a 5100 or more if you wanted.
How much do you think you'll loose is hard to tell, mine settled at 39-39 1/8 and didn't move after that, Crew cab 1500 Express here, i doubt the metal bumper will weight that much more that you're getting 1/2" less than me, and geez this is even with 5* caster lol, so my wheels are pushed a little bit forward with the Rancho's compared to whatever you get with the factory UCA's at stock caster.

Edited:
Below was Rancho QL front with Icon 1.5" springs, but also 315/70/17 tires. that could be the difference if you have the stocker 33's

I'm a full inch less than you. I don't have any lift in the back and have plenty of rake still. It sounds like you are one of the lucky ones that got 2"of lift. Doing reading sounds like 1.25-1.75" is fairly common. Contemplating if I return these as I just got them and do bisteins. As of now, I'm not happy with the loss of height.

Get the eibach adjustable struts, if you want 2.75 get the coils too, if not just get the struts. Then you can assemble them (or a shop) from your oem struts, then swap out those Ranchos, then return them.

Are you running the stock tires ? the tires in the pic are 315/70/17, 34.6" advertised height compared to 33" for the stockers. about 1" taller considering the're lifted from the axel, i'll be 1" lower if i had the stock tires.
My stock height was 36 1/8 with stock tires, 39 5/8's after the Ranchos and 315's, settled down to 39-39 1/8. Contact Rancho and they will exchange or give you a refund.

Talked to Rancho. They need me to take some measurements from the center hub to fender. Sounds like they want to send another set. Day 1 I loved the leveled look it had and it drove/drives very nice. If they decide to send a set I'll give them another shot. The install is pretty easy. Hopefully I won't be doing this a third time to replace with bilstein or eibach.
