Finally saved up enough money to buy this for the wife.

Sticker was 36k, offered 30k they accept it, came back and it was almost 34k with all the fees and bullsh!t charges.

So I put 30k cash on his desk, He didn't even want to take it. :dogpile: . Wife said to him well we are out of here. God I love her. Ended up having to wire them 30k directly.

Buying cars when you don't need one saves a **** ton of money

Part of the reason they don't want cash, IN MY OPINION, is because they are making the company/dealership brand that they work for less money that way. They want people to finance, like through Chrysler Financing or whatever the case may be. In my case, Genesis Finance.

That's true, but they also don't want physical cash because they aren't set up to handle it. A transfer isn't going to contain a percentage of forged bills, won't get stolen, doesn't have to be transported to a bank by an employee, etc. Banks charge fees for large deposits that have to be counted as well (not universally true, but often true).

A personal friend I've known for years got the engine out of my old 71 Torino GT a few years back, built it and dropped into his 71 Mustang Mach 1 project car.
I'll do better than show pics - Here's a short vid of how it sounds, which is exactly how it did sound back when I had it because he's running the old cam (Factory 429 Cobra Jet hydraulic flat tappet cam) I used and other things in it.

That's cool, I hope she enjoyed it.

She did, in fact, we all took turns with it with the top down. :waytogo: That solid lifter 273 was indestructible. Unfortunately, it wasn't the commando version. Of course, she was always complaining about her small block, and all of us with our big blocks, so she eventually sold it and bought a '70 Challenger R/T - 383 4spd. She could drive it better than a lot of my friends could drive theirs. LOL

Even the 273-2bbl were fun for a car less than 3000 lbs. They rev as high as you dare take them with no vavle float... Definitely not a big block, though.

She sounds Very cool. Probably the kind of gal that would hang out with us motorheads, rather than sitting with the jocks.

Wish I could give two thumbs up for your post.

I did operate these in real life once at a rock quarry (Cat 769C) and they are actually easy to drive once you get used to the size of it. What I drove around isn't the biggest of them by any means, but still big enough 18-wheeler Tri-Axle dumps got out of my way :uhoh2: when they saw me coming through the stockpile yard.
