rattle behind cluster

i did a bit of searching and came up with one vague reference, but no solution.

anyone have a rattle behind the gauges or cluster? on moderately rough roads, i get a rattle back there, sounds like it's close to the windshield, but the noise could be reflecting. anything but smooth roads will produce it.

i think i have seen comments about how easy it is to remove the cluster. if it is, i may pop it out and see if there's a harness not foam wrapped or something. unless anyone has another idea on what it would be...

So had something similar, it happened for often in the cold... It sounded like a tapping right near where the windshield and dash come together. Turned out to be the plastic that covers the windshield wipers. I sprayed some plastic safe silicone and the should is gone... Just a thought
