Rattle from front end .... how much play should be in CV?

I’ve been chasing a rattle from the front end of my 2020 1500 with 3.5 ready lift. I changed sway bar links. Torqued struts etc. Today I looked at front half shaft/cv’s. I do understand they should have a little horizontal play in and out of front diff but how much play from up and down or front to back should there be. Can someone please check their truck?! Thanks!

why are you even dealing with this? you should take it back to the dealership it's all still under warranty or at least it should be unless you're over 60,000

I’m trying to track down a rattle and figured the dealership would blame my lift I put on.

I changed strut to Bilsteins. I didn’t find anything wrong with cv. I think one rattle was from strut studs poking through the top hat spacers rattling on strut pockets in engine compartment.

Lift kit is hard on CVs. So the Dealer has every right to play the blame game...lol...

I have the same issue. Not lifted though. I replaced the CV axles and the inner axles. They were quiet for about 1,500 miles. Now clanking again.

Who makes the best CV axles ? I bought NAPA. Not happy with them. Not a very tight fit.
