How does everyone go about quieting these down? I was thinking about using a thin strip of felt. Anyone else done this?

Seriously I know mine rattle too but I never hear them because of the radio. I hardly ever hear my phone ring either. Haha.

I would think that would work. Maybe wrap the rod with some tape.

I saw on another forum that someone fixed it by using some thin rubber tubing and slipping it on like a sleeve. I always thought there should be some kind of rubber grommet on the top of the door but I don't know how you would find the right size.

I was just about to post a similar thread but mine was about dash rattling. Anyone dealt with and fixed?

Depends on the rattle location. They way our dashes are built it usually means a broken clip or a missing screw. If there isn't anything broken or misplaced, a squeaks and rattles kit is what we use at work. It consists of a bunch of different foam and felt assortments which are used to "shim" part of the dash to make it tight.

I was going to put a thin felt strip around the lock knobs but don't want to cause excess friction and burn out my lock motors. This is why I was wondering if anyone has addressed this.

I noticed the seat belt height adjusters make some noise, the sliding piece against the panel. There are all sizes of adhesive backed foam and felt, even the kind that has short brush like material. Sliding glass doors use it. Most of it is cheap, and you can cut it to whatever thickness you need. I also save bicycle tubes and cut whatever I need. Maybe that brush type weather strip could be used for the door locks. And use some real glue.
