Hello everyone,

I have 2019 5.7 hemi and this morning I noticed a sizzling noise from the dash. It sounds like it's coming from where the tach is located. When I am at a stop the noise seems to go away. I monitored the tach and it seems that the RPM does not influence the noise. It picks up only as I gain speed. I did check to make sure I had nothing rattling in the side of the door, thinking and hoping it was just spare change rattling, but the noise persists. Seems like a shot in the dark, but thought I'd post it here and see if anyone here has any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Do you have a scanner to check for DTCs?
If not, most parts stores will scan for free.

It might be better if you can scan while moving and the sound is happening, but you may see an electrical-related DTC regardless, if there is an electrical issue.

Do you notice any irregular smells in the dashboard area?

This might help to point you in a direction.

And, welcome.gif to Ram Forum.

Lol...I will check the bacon setting first. Lol. Actually I will try the DTC scanner as a first step and see what that tells me. Thank you.

I watched a video on a car with a noise that the dealer could not fix, Dave's auto service tec just completely closed the passenger window that was down a hair or 2.

But in the dash? Did you turn radio off, do a nose check,
If you had a short in power wire, should take out fuses, you hope.
I don't know anything about the auto noise cansilling in these trucks.

Blend door?

Could the sound also be described as sand hitting the windshield?

I once had a car that had a windshield seal that started buzzing at higher speeds.
