Rattling Door Lock Pins

I have aftermarket door lock pins in my truck and they rattle like crazy, only in the front doors tho, the backs are fine. Is there anything I can do to keep them from rattling?

Hmm, could work. I need to pull my panels off anyway.

I could try that. I've tried regular clear tape but they still rattled.

I was thinking about this over breakfast because I have a set of aluminum pins I want to put in. Here is what I came up with-

I am going to install mine and then wrap the upper portion in masking tape about an 1/8 inch above the door panel. Then I will unscrew them and put heat shrink on the bottom portion just up to the tape line. Remove the tape, reinstall the pins and voila, no more rattle. Maybe even two layers of heat shrink.

oops sorry JJ, I missed this post. I have some aluminum ones with a swirl design in them. I got them on ebay. I'll have to see if I can dig up a pic.
