Relax dude hes not asking about electric fans and pulleys..he wants to know about things that are guaranteed to show actual and noticable power and performance increase. As far as i know i dont think anyone can guarantee that electric fans really do that. But theyre nothing noticeable from seat of the pants regardless.

May as well keep your opinion to your self because you seem to have a problem with other people who don't agree with you
I tune one I just don't throw one together & say that's it because the magazine & my buddy says it works.

don't need to be so rude about it. the info he posted is correct. the higher amp alternators do pull more power even under idle. that is why the higher amp alternators required the double v belt setup on the older truck even the ones with the denso alternators.

like i said in my other post they make your truck quieter. that is about all. the stock fan must act like a propeller and help pull the truck along or something.

The 3spd auto (727) is used with diesels and are plenty strong. The 9-1/4 can also use the PowerTrax locker and be installed in the driveway without having to setup the ring & pinion.

You guys need some time on a DYNO like I use
to dyno a hp or 2? i used my truck as a daily driver. i got at least 5000 miles on a stock clutch fan and well over 5000 miles with the electric fans and gas mileage was always better with the mechanical fan. people have dyno'd the difference between electric fans and no electric fans and there is no noticeable difference. as long as the clutch fan is working properly no power should be lost.

People say this & this So what, until you have locked down on those rollers or bolted to that stand you can't say honestly
I can cause we tried it & done it
So there's no gain after you reduce the rotating mass by 5 lbs or more not to mention the drag too OK then
I got Chevrolets in the shop pics too These three are getting replaced with Hemis Want to buy them

I only tried helping by stating what I know as FACT in the 20 years or so that I've been going to the Dyno & the 30+ years of building & tuning

Dude...dont take it so personal. The OP asked for some pretty specific questions and this answers none. Whether an electric fan adds 10 hp or just lowers cab noise it was not one of the things he was looking at modifying.

The things I like about the efan is that when it is off it has zero parasitic drag. Mine is off while on the highway and cycles while stuck in traffic at a reasonable rate. Staging lane I turn it on to cool and then off to race. Plus I UD the accessories 20% with no adverse affects. I do maintain a good battery and my electrics are all well grounded. It's a good mod in my book. With a good working mechanical fan at best you are spinning the fluid coupler with some parasitic drag and no ability to turn it on or off when wanted. My opinion....

Electric cooling fan mod

Was reading the threads concerning the electric fan. Did do the mod quite a few years ago on a little Toyota. Did make a noticeable difference. As for the 2014 2500 Ram I own now, at 4000 rpm, the fan disengages and YES , There is a difference. Fan is about the same as a small ceiling fan so it should. lol Noisy also from 2 to 4000 rpm. Would be careful though in installing "just any fan". Would want to be sure it is large enough to cool the engine in warmer weather and / or when towing.

Read the title of the post just once

It didn't get personal until the "I'll just keep my opinion to myself" after I posted factual findings
It only insinuated that I was lying
