there is a version of the jumpseat that has rear air vents, let me do some digging and see what i can come up with for part numbers on that option. i know some of the ducting will be different as it runs under the carpet.

Awesome, thanks! I wasn't even thinking about it when I was reading the threads last night. Good thing I didn't order anything yet.

got it.

duct work - listed for 2010 and newer

68066324AA (jumpseat ductwork)
55056842AB (center ductwork)
68049979AA (front duct work)

grey/black -

1QA40DX9AA - vents
1QA41DX9AA - trim bezel

beige -

1QA40HL1AA - vents
1QA41HL1AA - trim bezel

now i assume that this duct work would work in conjunction with this part 68049979AA which connects the underdash air box to the rear ducting. EDIT - found this duct 55056842AB which looks like it would be used to connect the two ducts together

that's cute. my dog just lays his head on the console and rests his nose on my elbow or my wife's arm. bet he enjoys the vents though. Looks like your pup is certainly enjoying the mod

If this helps anyone I have my stock rear console cover for sale on e-bay..BUT I also have 2 ducts I was going to install in it that I found in my tool box (I'm a fleet mechanic ). My original plan was just to mount the 2 ducts and put a quiet small computer fan behind them..they run off 12v and are totally quiet and would recirculate the air like a fan. Anyway I decided to go factory after finding the rear cover with the A/C vents already in it. If somebody wants to try and mod it to work...this way you can cut and mod my old one and if you have no luck you'll still have your original one...40 bucks and you can have it all..I have just the cover on e-bay for 50 and shipping...if a member here can use it 40 plus 8 for shipping but i'll toss in the 2 vents too....here's a picture of them.

Thanks for sharing all of your hard work. My son will love to have AC vents in the back.

So for this conversion, will there be ducts that run from under the dash, along the top of the trans tunnel and through the jump seat to the back? Does anyone have a pic of what it looks like done? I'm not sure how good it'll look if I have a plastic duct on top of the carpet running from the dash to the jump seat. All the pieces are more expensive so I want to make sure it'll look good before I order anything. I already found a site with all the parts so thanks again for all the info bobbo7915!

I own a doggie daycare so my dog can come to work with me everyday so there's no way around that. I just have to vacuum once a week or it's brutal to get the hair out. I love my cars clean but I have to try to let my OCD take a break when it comes to dog hair.

Oh and in regards to the post above about dog hair....hahaha that's priceless...why does that comment remind be of a yuppie in a Toyota Prius ... not a guy with a truck . This picture is on my refrigerator..thats my dog in it...and her rules apply to the truck too !

I'll go mudding 7 days a week, but I'll be a yuppie if that means not wanting dog hair flying all over my truck. Who the **** would wanna get in your truck and sit on dog hair?

Because you play in the mud your what ? whats your point my kids play in the mud to.. All that tells us is that you have a dirty truck ? And why would there be all this dog hair in the truck anyway...don't you know how to clean...,you wipe after you **** don't you...so you clean out your truck if there's and hair in it...Don't you wash the mud off your truck...Anyway thanks for your 2 cents but I'm sure the majority of dog owners here will ignore it....I put my dog I the bed once...after a day of mudding

Nice mod though op. I have children who are always in the back so I couldn't have hair all over back there.

Write a book next time, point was simple- not scared of getting dirty= not a yuppie. My children, nor any other passenger would want dog hair all over them. If you don't have people back there ever, then so be it.

Thanks for the link. My jump seat has the cup holders attached to so the floor in front of it is just carpet, but it looks like some have the cup holders in a smaller console on the floor. I'm guessing that's where the ducting would go under to get the air in the rear so in that setup the ducts wouldn't be seen. Looks like I'll have a couple extra steps in the process to get it to look right.
