Rear Bumper Question

Does anyone know offhand if a rear bumper off of a 2500 will fit a 1500? 4th gens.
The rear bumper I came across is a chrome one with the dual exhaust cutouts off of a hemi-powered 2500.

My 1500 is a SLT w/o cutouts. My goal is to get a bumper with the cutouts and reconfigure my duals like OEM but with black tips. I just came across this one off a 2500 for cheap.

Hopefully someone else chimes in - I don't know if it fits, I think the 4\7-way trailer connector on the 2500 is to the right of the license plate instead of on the left on the 1500. Not sure if that's a show stopper. But if it doesn't fit and you are not going to get it, let me know where it is? I need a chrome rear bumper for my 3500.

The bumpers are interchangeable but you might have to move the wiring harness as the trailer plugs are on opposite sides.
I don't believe the 2018 or earlier HD trucks were available with dual exhaust out the bumper

^^^ what they said. I've heard of guys with 2500s putting the 1500 bumper with the cutouts on to finish off the look of their aftermarket dual exhaust.

Yeah this one had the trailer plug on the left. It flippin sold before I got back home from a Bizarre Bizaar I was dragged to. Guy only wanted $150. He sent me pics, mounting plates looked identical. I truly believe its the same bumper now.

Chances are anything in the junk yard will be tore up, but I will still call around. Keeping my fingers crossed I come upon one on CL or Marketplace.

Crash, you were dead on. Thank you! I forgot about that site. I found one on a front-wrecked ‘15. The place is 5mi from my house and one of my buddies has a buddy who works at the place. Chrome, EC, cutouts and no park sensors. Exactly what I want.

They have it listed at $350, entire assembly. I’m hoping to do better through my friend’s friend. The only reason I want it is for the cutouts…If I was good enough with a saw and a die grinder I’d attempt it, but I am not.
Pumped at those tips. $150 for the pair local, 1 month old.

It fell through. They said its damaged, but pics were good. Maybe they forked it lol.
Id really like to have the cutouts, but thats the only thing I’m after with it. Thoughts on running them out with the tips and no cutouts?

Even though my Ram is an Eco-diesel
It runs duals at the rear axle, just like the Gas powered Rams



To bad that the shop left the spare in place, but it was about to roll into the paint booth & the whole frame in back of the cab was going to be covered.
It looks like Resonators & shielded exhaust under the frame, between the spare tire & mounted tires on the rear axle

Did you have your truck repainted?
Also for those that are curious, if you do a Zone 1.5” body lift, you can see in the pic what has to get trimmed on the rear bumper in the pic above. The underside of the step on the rear bumper has to clear the top plate of the hitch.

When i ordered my Ram, no one had images of what the paint colors really were. the paint examples were smaller than a pencil eraser.
I figured i would take a RED, but not fire engine red.
So i picked the other red, it was called Delmonico Red, when it arrived, i saw right away that it was Burgundy.
I dislike Burgundy, reminded me of a 1962 Ford Galaxy i once owned.
Besides that, because the Ram was an Eco-diesel, it only came with Chrome Bumpers, i had tried to order Sport Bumpers, but they were not available.

So i called a run down Auto Body Shop & ordered the Sport Bumpers & a different grille & made an appointment for a color change.

Then i went to Line-X and had the bed sprayed, got it at a good cost, it was the 3rd truck that i had sprayed.

Then that same week, i went to a truck parts store & bought a folding tonneau cover, then i went to ORW & bought an CB antenna & had them drill a hole through the center of the roof & do an install. Next was a professional CB Radio installation.

Then the appointment time at the Body Shop came up
They had me take the Sport Bumpers & the new grille Home & i had to take the tonneau cover off

Look up the applications for the brand on the site. it'll show you the years it will fit on.
