About a week or so ago I started to notice I had a slight squeal coming from my passenger side rear area. The squeal has gotten louder since the first time I noticed it and the noise seems to go away as I give her some gas but it returns when the truck gets closer to idle RPMs. Has anyone had this problem with their truck? Or have any idea what this noise could be? Any help would be great... Thanks

Squeal is related to vehicle speed or engine rpm?

engine rpm. Like if my truck is just parked and idling , you will hear it squealing, but once you start pulling rpms it goes away. at first i thought it was a belt, but the noise seems to be coming from the rear.

If you get it when it is parked and idling can't you get under the truck and get a better idea of exactly were it is at? It sounds like a weird spot, maybe a body mount or something loosened?

Yea, I have gotten under there but i haven't been able to put a finger on what it is. I was thinking maybe it was a barring of some sort but i dont know. The niose is for sure coming from the rear end though

My guess is it is a pulley or something turning with the engine. I would try squirting water on different components that are spinning with the engine running.

Nothing is spinning down there in the rear end under idle right? I think it is a squeak and not a squeal without knowing more. Nothing turns with the engine down there except the drive shaft and under idle in park that isn't moving either.

Could it be the fuel pump you're hearing? They have a tendency to emit a high-pitched whine, sometimes.
Without hearing the sound you're talking about, all we can do is throw ideas.
