Hi there, first time lowering a vehicle. This weekend I plan on installing 2 inch rear shackles. My rear shocks are also outdated and need replaced and I am curious if I can use lowering shocks instead of stock height now, without causing any immediate issues? My plan later on down the road six months to a year from now will be to install a 2/4 drop so just want to get the shock part taken care of now.

Where are you getting 2" lowering shackles from? I have been looking to do that for awhile. I just installed new leaf springs and believe it or not my trucks ride softened up and tightened up really nice however it is higher in the back that with the 265,000 mile springs....LOL
