hey guys, i have a '17 2500 SLT and the wife wants a reclining rear seat
i guess they came in some of the higher trim levels (and im not sure which ones that would be) ...but can i move up to a 5th gen or does it need to remain 4th?

got to be a 4 bolts and done deal, right?

I think that's only 5th gen trucks. They managed 4" rear cab space over the 4th gens and added rear recliners.

They are really not all that you know, OP. Don’t recline very much. Maybe the 4” someone said just now was extra over 4th gen. How it works, seat base slides forward the actual back doesn’t go further back. This changes the angle.

Thats what my research is showing ...only an option on the mega cabs

You could take the mega cab seat track to fit and move the stop on your factory seat.
