Ok - so for sync'ing the lights. The Feniex T-6s and the Feniex Cannons (the HAWs in the reverse lights and the fog lights) all have a Blue sync wire which is also the pattern change wire. Simply activate the light by putting the red to power and the black to ground. Then, momentarily touch the blue wire to ground. This will scroll to the next pattern. Once you find the pattern you like, let it run for about 5 seconds.

Now, once you're ready to sync 2 or more lights together you must do the following -

Each module has a MASTER and a SLAVE mode. If both modules are on MASTER mode, then they will both flash together at the same time when you connect the blue wires. If you want them to alternate, hold the blue wire to ground, while the light is on, for about 3 seconds. The light should go to a steady burn for a second then resume flashing. Now when you connect the lights together via the blue wire, one is in Master mode and the other in slave. So they will alternate.

If you want to sync the whole vehicle, then just run each blue wire from each module to a central location and connect them. Or you can just sync groups of lights together like I did on my truck.

That all make sense?

The dual mode cannons like the OP has in his fog lights have different modes. mode 1 should be wanring then you can wire mode two (which is a green wire I believe) to be a steady burn white and it will override Mode 1 when activated.

Ahhh I see now. Yeah the license plate lights are out for you. As far as wiring goes, the Cannons and F12s are dual mode meaning they have a power wire for each function. Say you make your reverse light mode 1. You will connect the mode 1 power wire to the reverse light power wire as well as connecting the ground. Mode 2 will be your warning mode. The mode 2 power wire will be connected to a 12v power source (Battery) and switch. As finicky as our trucks are, you are going to want to be sure you have a good ground. Also, in the even they do not work in reverse, you may have to wire them to the trailer harness reverse power. I had to do this for my plate lights.

--------------------------------------------------
I'm sure firemedic can verify but those look like Feniex Apollo F12s to me. They are the same lights I have in my grill and on my license plate.
Got it, the different mode wiring makes sense. I do remember reading about different mode setups. So in your example above assuming I set it up like that, Mode 1("normal truck operation") would be active. When I hit my HomeLink button(or any switch I wire it to), Mode 2("emergency mode") would start working and when I switch the switch off, Mode 1 kicks back in and normal operation commences?

Yes this makes sense, at least as much as it's going to until I have them in front of me. Seems like for now, I'll be safe with two/three sets of Cannon 120s... One for backup, one for fog housing(drilled in possibly), and one for daytime running lights.

Any issues with installing these in a housing with an HID bulb heat-wise?

Yes, the lights on the side of my truck are the Apollo F12s. I only use them for warning lights. I could of hooked them up so they light up just white whenever I open my doors, but I have an LED strip light mounted under the doors for my puddle lamp mod.

Putting them in the housing with the HIDs should be fine. I'm running LED bulbs in my fogs though. As for mounting - the fog housings were limited. You can either do like I did and drill a 1" hole in the side of the fog housing for mounting (that was the only spot for my truck I could find) or do like the OP did which I believe he drilled out the stock hole to make it a 1" hole so the cannons will sit just as the stock bulb sit. Which, this is the best option as far as light output would be concerned...I just paid 100$ for my LED fog bulbs so I didn't want to go that route. However, with how I have mine mounted, the light output is not as good as the OP because I'm not using the full capabilities of the reflector housing.

With you reverse lights, you want to mount the cannon as close to your stock bulb as you can. You're basically just wanting to maximize the usage of the housing reflector so your light will really "pop" ...

Right. For the reverse lights and drl's, I'd intend on using the existing hole and replace the bulb completely. However, I'm in the same boat as you and just paid for a new HID system for the fogs to match my Projector headlamps coming this week and with how OCD I am, I couldn't imagine having two different lamp colors up there for regular driving lol

Ya, I would just mount them on the side of the housing then. It's the only flat area on there that is easy to drill and mount the light there. The light will pointed to the side of the truck, but it still works fine. During the day it's hard to see, but dusk/night it flashes plenty bright.

I may consider the fog lamp housing later but I feel like the reverse and DRL will be an easy swap

I have a lighting upfitter within my fire department who does lighting setups as a hobby. He did all of the wiring and mounting for the cannons. We drilled out the factory fog light hole to 1" just as firemedic stated. I wanted the look of LED fogs but after buying all my lights, I didn't want to drop another $100 on fogs. By doing it this way I accomplished both. Note, although they are mounted in the best place for output, they have no comparison in output from Halogen fog bulbs or the Opt7s. The output is alright but not nearly as good as actual fog bulbs.

For the reverse lights, I did the same thing and drilled out the factory hole to 1". Honestly I may be interested in putting them up for sale - cannons included. Nothing wrong with them, I'd just really like smoked tails to go with the theme of the truck. I'm not completely convinced yet, just something that has been going back and forth in my head.

Yeah I bought Opt7 HID for the high and low, already have them in the fogs. I wouldn't want to sacrifice that light output. What kind of lights are in your tails? I was planning on getting amber/white considering that I'm a civilian and that's probably all I can get away with legally :)

Lol well i do a lot of rescue work, voluntarily. Tows, jumps, lockouts, tire changes for those in need, all on my own accord with my own supplies... I consider it a hobby, just enjoy doing it.

Ah ok...Well in that case - I would recommend just a pair of Cannons in your reverse housings (amber in color) and maybe a bar in your rear window. For the front I would keep it minimal as you won't be responding through traffic or anything. Still stick with Feniex products

Well I have this in the front already(you can see the reflection in the hood of the light pattern) . So I'm good on the front, just figured I'd throw some into the DRL's for the heck of it, but more importantly need something for the back.

That thing looks like it puts off a lot of flashback off the dash at night time. But, seeing how you're not using it while driving, then it doesn't matter.

But I agree, the rear of your truck is what needs to be seen well. Cannons, a Cobra lightbar in the back window and MAYBE some T6s near the license plate would be perfect.
