My display states my rear right turn signal is out. When I turn my blinker on for that side I get the fast blink as well. When I inspect the blinker though I'm still getting the flashing.

They are aftermarket tail lights installed by someone else. What could be causing this?

Thanks

are the aftermarket lights LED?
if so, that is most likely your problem, LEDs don't have the same resistance, so it causes the fast blinking

They are LED. Do I need to worry as long as they work. Or can I fix this issue without replacing the whole unit.

Has it done this since the install or is it a new symptom. If it just showed up, figure out what changed. Are all the LED's working? Is your FRONT bulb out on that side? Look for something that's changed recently.

They were installed by previous owner and this is a new symptom. When it cools back down this week I will give it a through go over to try and find if there are any obvious issues.

it's possible the taillights have a built in resistor and that has failed, though usually in that case the blinker would not work. It is possible the resistor has failed and shorted across itself.
