Rear View Mirror Dash Cam

With the Cap on my truck, the rear view mirror is rendered virtually useless. Looking to install an dash cam system such that I can pipe the rear mounted camera image to a rear view mirror display? Has anyone done this, or can you point me to a thread? I have searched the forum some and have not found this.

Upgrade to the 5.0 headunit/radio and you can get the harness to convert your backup camera display to the radio instead of the rear view mirror. Or if you don't have a backup camera you can install one to go with the 5.0 or larger radios. All factory parts

I've done a few after market cameras for some of my other cars, including a rear-view camera display. The only thing you would need to change from the normal documentation, is to wire it to a power supply that is on when the truck is on, and not into the reverse light power. That way, the display would always be on.

Ive seen a system that is blue tooth to your cell phone which you mount on the dash so you can see it and then it comes with a camera that is fitted to a license plate frame and you have a back up camera no wires also has a alert system so you don't hit anything when in reverse its beeps works with I phones and Android
