recon cab light trouble

so i finally got around to installing my recon smoked cab lights and after a couple hours of work...they dont work..

the wires coming out of each light are red and black(ground)
on the harness provided by recon, the two wire colors are dark red and yellow. anyone know which way the connector and wire need to be matched up?

according to the directions, there is a parking light wire in the wire harness behind the passenger pillar. on my truck i have the auto dimming rear view mirror so my harness behind the pillar has literally 10 wires. anyone else have this issue?

Unfortunately they are POS in general
my buddy has had to have 5 replaced already, mine have been trouble free though fortunately

Flip the plugs since LED have to have the right polarity

I can't help you on the wire, we tapped into whatever wire they said to in the directions on his HD
