I bought a 2015 ram express 4wd a couple of weeks ago and realized there aren't any recovery hooks on it. I've never had to worry about this because all the 4wds I've had always came with them. So my question is ,am I able to install them on the truck at front bumper area?

Yes you can, they are close to the bumper but do fit.
I think someone swapped them from side to side for more clearance on the bumper.

I'm not sure but I think there is a place to cut out on the bumper to install them. I may be wrong I'd rather take it to a ram dealer or 4wd center to see what options I have. Just don't know why they didn't come standard.

Do you have these covers in your bumper? I have no hooks so cut in lights but there are covers made for hooks that have factory openings

Hmmm not sure. I will have to look. So the hooks may be there just have a cover?

No, if you don’t see hooks you don’t have them, there are just two types of covers. One solid cover if no hooks, and a cover that has a slot in it so the hook pokes out.

Read through the tow hooks thread in the DIY forum.

Your truck has the same bumper setup as the Ram Sport. Its not a simple install for us Express/Sport owners.

There is alot of info in that thread on how to accomplish this with z Sport/express.

Don't understand why they don't come standard on 4wd truck

I agree but they do not come on Sport or Express. I think it is more of a design/aesthetic choice on Ram's part. You can either cut out the plastic yourself or I believe you can buy the OEM Mopar plastic part that come on trucks with hooks and just replace it.
