Red light on automatic mirrors

I purchased a 2014 Ram 1500 sport edition and about 2 days after driving it around, the automatic high beams wouldn’t come on and the rear view mirror appeared to be extremely dark and not dim but instead be constantly dimmed. Has anyone seen this before? If so what ended up being wrong and what was done to fix the problem?
