This might be a dumb question, but I just thought I'd ask. This morning I ordered Red Line 75W-140 gear lube for my rear diff. My diff is not limited slip. Should I have ordered the 75W-140NS or won't it matter.

Thanks

Won't matter. Just lacks friction modifier. You can use gear oil with friction modifier in non-LS diffs.

Redline does contain friction modifier, but no, it will not hurt your "non-LS diff." There are a few threads here on the forum on the subject.
