I've always gone with three. Never once thought I should have done less. My Dakota and last ram had three inch body lifts only. My 2014 crew cab sport had a BAD rake. Might have to do blistering or level too this time.

There isn't an $800 difference between a 1.5" and 3" body lift if that's what you were referring to. Plus they cost the same to install

I haven't used a body lift on my newer Rams but I used to use them on a lot of my older trucks. I always used 3". The price is pretty much the same and if your going to go through the trouble of installing a body lift may as well get the extra 1.5". Especially not since they have gap guards so it looks a lot nicer than they used to.

The 4" lift with give you more than just an inch. If you go by a Ram lot that has some 4" lifted trucks you can see a difference between that and just a set of Bilsteins set at 2.8. I prefer a 4" suspension over a 3" body lift if I was doing it in a new truck if you plan to go off-road with it. If you just want bigger tires that the 3" body lift will work. I just don't like having to fix the exhaust, move the bumpers and hitch that's why I am more partial to the 4" suspension lifts. I went with a suspension lift over a body on my 2wd even.
