2014 1500 Laramie. Remote start starts but only stays on for about 30s. I walked up to it recently and saw an announcement on the dash that said something like Remote Start Malfunction or something like that. Any ideas?

Thanks. It does have a code from the ambient temp sensor. Added an aftermarket mirror and it's throwing that code. Says it's 185° F outside all the time. Maybe that's the issue. That's what mine did when it was throwing the evap/gas cap code. Once I cleared the code with my OBD2 MX it would work fine until the next time it threw a code. I replaced the evap solenoid and no more problem.
Not aware of this problem. I assume you've tried contact cleaner in the buttons? That solved an issue I was having with the door lock button.I also learned that if the cruise control button is not functioning neither will the remote start. I have the notorious Cruise switch issue where I need to smack the steering wheel every so often to get the cruise button to work, noticed last week if its acting up, remote start will not work.
Just sending you the info, BOIRD not an educator, lmao (been there, done that like teaches classes and and in a different life). If you do not have a manual, go to Mopar site and download. There was added stuff about remote start, wasn't gonna copy 5 pages of manual, LOL. Those were all the non-start info.turkeybird56
WOW
^5 to you for education on operations of remote start.
I knew a few on the list you posted BUT not all.
Thanks again for the lesson.
Desertdawg here. My remote on my '13 5.7 Laramie is not consistent. Sometimes it starts from inside my house, other times not even when I'm 10 feet away! I changed the battery, but no better. Not aware of this problem. I assume you've tried contact cleaner in the buttons? That solved an issue I was having with the door lock button.
No, this is more along the lines of a spring in the button assembly maneuvering itself out of place. Not aware of this problem. I assume you've tried contact cleaner in the buttons? That solved an issue I was having with the door lock button.
