Good morning and Happy New Year!! I am looking for guidance on how to remove the rear dome light housing without breaking it. 2014 Crew Cab. Thank-you, Nick

I assume you want to change the bulb. If you look close you will see a cut out on the cover where the screwdriver goes to pop out the lens.
I also had a set of duck bill pliers with tape on the tip to grip better. Made it easy to remove the bulb

These are a couple videos from You Tube, You Tube has videos on almost anything lol Hope this helps

No, bulb is good. What I am looking to do is disable the light from coming on at unlock. I can turn it on any time I need it so it has full time 12v. I am wondering if there is a second power supply to light it at unlock. Nick

OK I see now. I would assume there is a hot wire at the Map Lights on yours ??. I can turn mine on when the truck is off !
If so you should be able snake a wire from the front map-lights to the rear light w/o dropping the headliner.
BUT I do not no if there is space enough to run a snake ! I never dropped a headliner but assume it would be a pain :O

Well, you might be able to clip one of the wires to it being that there is three wires that go to it but you have to probe around with a test light or a multimeter to see which wire has power going to the light when all your interior lights come on or when the light is off and which wire powers on the light when you press the switch on it to turn it on.

I don't know what my plan is yet, I just want to get the assembly out so I can see the wiring. Ultimately, I would like to find the harness from the footwell. I don't want to break the clips. Nick
