I have a 2000 Ram 1500 Sport. The truck has tinted headlights and taillights (aftermarket?). I need to remove 1 of the taillights so I can connect some auxiliary backup lights. How do I get to the mounting screws for the lights? Does the black trim around the lights just pop off? Don't want to break anything.
Thanks for any help/insight you can provide.

Don't know 100% for sure but every truck I've ever seen of that era, you open the tailgate and there will be 2 screws that go through the bed into the side of the tail light housing.

That's where they were on my 2001.

Keep in mind there are usually a few 'snap ins' as well, so don't be surprised if it needs a brisk tug to come out, after the screws are out
